It seems that Adobe is trying to bully Microsoft into not having PDF support in their upcoming Office 2007 suite. PDF is an open standard, which makes it perfectly legal, but Adobe are obviuosly scared that having PDF in Office will show them up for their crappy Reader software.
It's people like Adobe that motivate Microsoft to use their own closed standards, like their incompatible version of TIFF.
Get a clue Adobe, you shouldn't use legal threats to make up for an inferior product.
