Sweet sweet Irony

So, my flatmate and I were talking about stuff to do with the PowerPC and why Apple chose intel instead of AMD and stuff, and then my flatmate Andrew reminded me that the xbox360 has Power5 (or G5 if you're a mac person) processors in it.

And then this realisation occured: Mircrosoft gave their developpers Power Mac G5's to work on because they are essentially the same platform (or at least the assembly is the same); meanwhile, Apple were giving their developpers intel Pentium 4 based machines so that they could come to grips with writing for the x86 architecture. Apple has moved over to x86, and Microsoft has moved over to Apple, how beautiful.

to be retentive, Microsoft moved to IBM, Apple moved to Intel and IBM ditched Apple, then started providing Processors to Toshiba, MSX360, SonyPS3, Nintendo-Revolition, and most of the new 65nm technology in intel chips! IBM are the sluts of silicon valey, they sleep around man (the did the 90nm tech in the prescott p4s!)
