I was having a look at the stats for this blog on statcounter today, and you can find out some interesting little bits of useless information about the internet from there.
For instance, 32 of the last 100 visitors to my blog came in via a search engine, and of those 32 people, 28 came from Google. Also, 57% of the people who view this blog use some form of firefox, 58% run their screens at 1024x768, 88% use windows XP as opposed to 1% OSX and 5% linux and 99% have javascript turned on.
Now, I wonder if this populus is indicative of the wider internet, or whether these mindless burblings are attractive to people who use firefox on windows XP with either a 17" CRT or a 15" LCD. It would be interesting to track unique visitors to an entire spectrum of blogs and find out what the internet is really like!
